What is Cast in Steel?

Cast in Steel is a national competition that challenges university teams to design, cast, and test a fully functional metal tool or weapon— crafted entirely from scratch. Hosted by the Steel Founders’ Society of America (SFSA), the event brings together students, faculty, and industry professionals to celebrate the art and science of metal casting.
